End of Year Picnic and Math Night - Thursday June 2nd from 5-7
The end of year picnic and Math Night are coming up. Don’t miss the chance to play some fun math games and bring a picnic to eat out on the grass, listen to music and celebrate the end of a great school year. PTA will be popping free popcorn and Cold Stone will be selling ice cream for a sweet treat! Do you plan to attend…please fill out this 2 question survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5G9VBZK
Lost and Found will also be out for you to claim your jackets, hats, and lunchboxes! On Friday, June 3rd, all items left will be donated to charity.
Foundation's 'Grease is the Night' auction was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and attended this fun event! After everything was said and done the event raised almost $20,000 for the school.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Foundation's fundraising campaigns this year! Due to the combined success of these efforts we have raised enough money to continue to fund our Hands-on Science Lab and Teacher as well as our PE teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. These programs are funded entirely by the Foundation. When we work together the Foundation can bring wonderful educational enhancements to the students of Highland Ranch!
THIS WEEK’S HIGHLAND HAPPENINGS:
Highland Ranch based Brownie Troop 2171 is helping a local Junior Troop with The Crayon Initiative. The Crayon Initiative wants all children to be able to express themselves through art. By donating unwanted, used, or broken crayons, you will be helping provide crayons for hospitals, schools, and other children’s organizations. The Crayon Initiative recycles the old crayons into new ones to donate. For more information about this non-profit organization, you can visit their website at www.thecrayoninitiative.org.
Please drop off your unwanted, used, or broken crayons to the box in the Highland Ranch Elementary School’s office by June 3. Thanks for your support!
Highland Ranch Elementary School’s Young Writers’ Camp, sponsored by the San Marcos Writing Project will be Monday through Friday, July 25th through 29th, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All students entering grades 2-6 are invited to attend. Have questions?
