Our classrooms are filled with the happy sounds of learningCommunication between school and home is very important to us. Our teachers are excellent at sending emails or paper newsletters out on a regular basis.  We send a connectEd message to our community every Friday, by phone and email.  If you are not receiving these messages, please contact the office.  Another way to be notified of important events or reminders is through “Quick Text.”  You can enroll by sending a text message to 760-517-8895 and enter @40c9b0 .

Our gates open at 7:50 AM and the office closes at 3:30 PM.  School starts at 8:10 and our gates are locked at that time.  If your child arrives late, please bring them through the office to mark the attendance.  If you are volunteering or visiting, please sign in at the office and wear a badge while on campus.  For the security of our students, please do not enter or exit through the gates during school hours.

Mr. Rodrigo is out front welcoming our students in the mornings and helping them on their way most afternoons; be sure and say hello!

Run For Your Heart Jog-A-Thon

On February 12th (Friday), Sundance will be holding its annual “Run For Your Heart” Jog-A-Thon. To maximize the school’s profits, parent volunteers will be organizing and directing the entire event. Please show your support in this event, and prove that we don’t need an outside company to come in and run this fundraiser! Students are encouraged to ask for donations from as many people as they can (i.e., family, neighbors, friends), and have your child keep track of all the states/countries from which they receive donations. We’ll chart how far-reaching the Jog-A-Thon fundraising reaches!

This year, we are working with The Get Movin’ Crew, which is an online company to help with credit card and online donations. Each student will have his/her own fundraising webpage (after a parent registers the student), which parents can forward to family and friends via most types of social media. The fees associated with this online company are about 7-10% of online donations, which can be offset further by an additional $2.50 the donor can choose to add.

Rewards will be offered for individuals, classes and the entire school if we reach our goals for the fundraiser. Please see www.thegetmovincrew.com and register your child. More details for the incentives will be sent home with your child on January 19th, or you can see them online when you register. All donations given by check / cash will be 100% donations to the school – none will go to this online company.

If your company has a matching gifts program, your donations to the Jog-A-Thon would be eligible for a match to double your impact. Please see www.twintrailsfoundation.org/donations for more information or click on the Employer match information on TheGetMovinCrew.com website.
